About 299 Campbell Avenue299 Campbell Condos

The condos at 299 Campbell Avenue are located in the Dovercourt & Wallace Emerson-Junction neighbourhood in west end Toronto. Working in tandem with city councillors and local activists, the developer building these contemporary condos plans for them to sit on the current site of the Perth-Dupont Public Library. This will allow one of the smallest libraries in the city to grow into a 10,000 square foot facility. The end goal is to help attract more residential and commercial projects to the surrounding section of Dupont Street.

In the pre-construction phase as of 2017, renderings of 299 Campbell Avenue depict a façade of geometric, cubist-inspired shapes composed of glass, yellow stone and concrete. Developers Tas Design and Build are working with Teeple Architects on these condos, known for their futuristic and striking designs, as well as tasteful heritage restorations such as Scrivener Public Square.

In addition to the brand new library, the building’s ground floor will feature 270 metres of retail space for local businesses to fill. The building will also feature plenty of garage parking for its residents, as well as bicycle storage.

    The Suites

299 Campbell Avenue will stand at 18 storeys, holding a total of 270 units. Most of these will be residential homes, while a handful of spaces will be reserved for offices.

Toronto condos for sale in this building cast a wide net in terms of buyers, and everyone from young professionals to growing families can find something to please them here.

    The Neighbourhood

Technically, 299 Campbell Avenue sits right in the middle of the Junction Triangle, which consists of the area between The Junction and Wallace Emerson (a 2010 vote is how the area got its official name). Speculators and developers expect this area to grow rapidly over the next decade, so expect plenty more commercial and residential real estate to pop up here in a rather constant fashion.

The area has been attractive to young people and new families looking to take advantage of cheaper property values and access to plenty of transportation infrastructure. And a little known secret of the area is that the Nestle Factory on Sterling Road makes the whole area smell like chocolate.

Residents will be living close to plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and best of all, the authentic Portuguese bakeries that the area is known for. And as the neighbourhood grows in prestige, investors might even plant some more local breweries, galleries and markets in the area. Additionally, there is a bank, pharmacy and grocery store just down the street on Dupont.

For nearby entertainment, residents can visit the Aluna Theatre for a theatrical performance, check out some of the contemporary art at the Angell Gallery, or try their hands at rock climbing at the Boulderz Climbing Centre.

Great parks are also close to 299 Campbell Avenue, including Earlscourt Park (which has a skating rink), Campbell Park, Perth Square Park, Carlton Park, and the enormous High Park to the southwest. Several schools are nearby as well, like St Josaphate Separate School, King George Junior Public School, Runnymede Junior and Senior Public School, and Stella Maris Catholic School.

    Transportation

Residents of shouldn’t have any trouble exploring or navigating the rest of the city. There are bus stops on most major streets surrounding 299 Campbell Avenue, and Dundas West Station is about 8 minutes away by bus. Additionally, the Dundas West streetcar will take residents all the way to the eastern and western ends of Toronto, while the Roncesvalles streetcar offers access to the lakeshore.

There are bike lanes for cyclists to use along streets like Dupont and Lansdowne Avenue, while drivers can reach the Queensway and the Gardiner Expressway by taking Roncesvalles Avenue south.
